Many people want to know what kinds of things the custom commands do. The following should help.
Deleting commands – Delete 1-99—deletes that many words from the point of the cursor back.
Capitalization commands:
Cap 1-99 – capitalizes the numbered word from the point of the cursor back. For example, Cap 3 would count back to the third word and capitalize that word.
Capitalize 1-99 – capitalizes all the numbered words from the point of the cursor back. For example, Capitalize 3 would count back to the third word and capitalize all three words.
All Cap 1-99 – makes every letter in the word capitalized for the numbered word from the point of the cursor back. For example, All Cap 3 would count back to the third word and capitalize all the letters in that word.
All Capitalize 1-99 – makes every letter in the words capitalized for all the words going back from the point of the cursor back to the numbered word. For example, All Capitalize 3 would count back to the third word and capitalize all the letters in all three words.
Correcting commands – These commands allow for a hands free method of deleting select words in the correction dialog box.
buzz 1-99 deletes the stated number of words in the correction dialog box counting from the end of the line back. Suppose a user says Correct That and the correction dialog box reveals “the boy went to the store“ but the user said “the boy fell on the floor“. A fast way to correct this is to use the CompuTALK Custom Macro Buzz 4. The command first takes the selecting off, then it deletes the last four words leaving “the boy” (since those words are correct it would be a waste of time to delete them and then spell them out again). At this point the user would spell out the letters for “fell on the floor” and say “Choose 1″.
scrape 1-99 deletes the stated numbered word counting from the end of the line back. Suppose a user says Correct That and the correction dialog box reveals “the boy went lots of money” but the user said “the boy spent lots of money”. A fast way to correct this is to use the CompuTALK Custom Macro Scrap 4. The command first takes the selecting off, then it counts back to the forth word and deletes just that one word (since all the other words are correct it would be a waste of time to delete them and then spell them out again). At this point the user would spell out the letters for “spent” and say “Choose 1″.
scrape 1-99, 1-99 deletes the stated numbers of words in a phrase counting from the end of the line back.
