Big news! Dragaon NaturallySpeaking has just upgraded to version 11. Woohoo!
It is big news to me because this program is significantly faster than version 10 at getting the words spoken out on the screen. More importantly, is the program is almost perfect in its accuracy. I am kind of amazed. It transcribes everything I say almost perfectly. Here is one example, I have written about things related to the Bible since I was. . . well a long time ago. Anyway, I am still doing that but for the first time Dragon now accurately comes out with “Jesus” instead of “cheeses”. It accurately inserted the words: Golgotha, Pilate, Arimathea and Nicodemus when I dictated them and without any previous training. In the past Dragon NaturallySpeaking has always worked best within a confined vocabulary like medical or legal. But don’t get me wrong, the program has worked well going back to at least version 5 or 6. But now the accuracy is not just better it’s different. It just hardly makes any errors!
